RCB Victory Parade Turned Into Horrible Incident
A horrible stampede broke out outside Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated winning their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title. Over 50 people were injured, and at least 11 people, including a baby, died as a result of the disaster.
What Happened In The RCB Victory Parade In Bengaluru?
In honor of winning the first IPL title after 17 years, the RCB celebrities' triumph parade was held at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4. There was a stampede as thousands of supporters assembled for the victory procession. Overcrowding and inadequate crowd management caused chaos as fans flooded through narrow entrances. It was challenging for emergency responders to get to the victims because of the crowd.

The planned victory parade was canceled in protest. Devajit Saikia, the secretary of the BCCI he said, “People are crazy for their cricketers. The organisers should have planned it better. My deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. I wish early recovery of the injured.”
He apologized and underlined the importance of improved preparation for major public gatherings. The relatives of the killed received apologies from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior officials.
The accident has cast a shadow over RCB's historic victory and brought attention to how crucial crowd control is at important events. To determine responsibility and stop such situations in the future, authorities have started an inquiry.
