2025 IPL Date, Rules and Retention
The 2025 IPL date for mega auction can be held in Saudi Arabia on 24 and 25 November next month. According to the report, BCCI considered many cities, but Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is considered to be at the forefront of the race. However, no official information has come from the BCCI yet, but the dates and venues can be almost the same.

Information IPL 2025 Date
The first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be held in
Australia is to be played in Perth from 22 to 26 November. This match will be
shown on Disney Star, which is the official broadcaster of IPL. In such a
situation, the auction can take place in the afternoon. However, the time
difference between Australia and India is quite a lot.
BCCI officials have already visited Saudi Arabia
If reports are to be believed, some BCCI officials have
already visited Saudi Arabia. Another BCCI squad is expected to visit Saudi
Arabia today. BCCI had also considered some other places like Dubai, Singapore
and London, but in the final decision, Riyadh has been given the hosting. Where
the mega auction can be held for two days.
31 October is the last date for retention list
The last date for player retention for teams in IPL 2025 is
31 October. By 5 pm on the same day, the teams have to submit the list of their
players to BCCI. The Cricbuzz report further states that if the teams are given
a choice, they would prefer to have the auction in India itself, but at present
no Indian city is an option for BCCI.
