Gujarat second consecutive win over Delhi: beat by 6 wickets

Defending champions Gujarat registered their second consecutive win over Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. The team was defeated by 6 wickets in the 7th match of the 16th season. 

Delhi scored 162 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs on their home ground. Then the Gujarat batsmen made the target of 163 runs for 4 wickets in 18.1 overs.



Close fight in the power play 

In the power play of the second innings, both teams saw a close fight. In this, the Gujarat batsmen scored 54 runs, while the defending champions were dealt three blows by the Delhi bowlers. Captain Pandya 5, Shubman Gill, and Wriddhiman Shah were dismissed on the score of 14-14 runs. Enrique Nortya took two wickets and Khaleel Ahmed took one wicket.

Delhi scored 162 runs

Shami-Rashid took 3-3 wickets Delhi, losing the toss and playing first on their home ground, scored 162 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. David Warner played an inning of 37 runs. Sarfaraz Khan added 30 runs. Akshar Patel took the score to 150 by playing big shots in the slog overs. 

He scored 36 runs off 22 balls. Gujarat fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan took 3-3 wickets, while Alzarri Joseph got 2 wickets.
